Frequently asked questions
Is this really free?
The full mock exam, the daily quiz, flashcards, area drills, study guides and your dashboard are free with no account and no card. A free account adds the explanation for every question you miss on a full-length mock. A pass unlocks the rest of the question bank and the full-length exam simulations.
Do I need an account?
Not to practise. The mock exam, daily quiz, flashcards, domain drills, study guides and your dashboard all work with no signup, and your progress saves to this device on its own. A free account adds the explanation for every question you miss on a full-length mock, and keeps your progress on any device. Buying a pass needs one too — it is what gives your access back on a new phone or after a cleared browser.
Is the Spanish a machine translation?
No. Every question, option and explanation was written in both languages for California's insurance vocabulary, and CDI itself publishes Spanish versions of its objectives so candidates can see how terms are translated on the exam.
I am taking only the Life (or only the Accident & Health) exam. Does this work?
Yes. The combined exam is the two 75-question exams together. Drill the life areas for the Life exam, or the medical, senior, ACA, disability and long-term care areas for Accident & Health; the general insurance and marketplace areas appear on both.
Does this replace the 12-hour ethics and code course?
No. California requires 12 hours of study on ethics and the California Insurance Code for the license. This site is practice for the state exam itself.
