Can I take the California insurance exam in Spanish?
Yes. Since January 1, 2024, AB 451 requires CDI to offer its producer license exams in Spanish, and the Life, Accident & Health and combined exams are all available. You choose the language when you schedule with PSI.
What score do I need?
60% on every producer license exam: 45 of 75 on a line exam, or 90 of 150 on the combined exam.
Should I take the combined exam or two separate ones?
The combined exam is the two line exams in one 3-hour sitting. Two separate exams split the content into two 90-minute sittings; candidates who want both licenses often book them together.
Which areas carry the most questions?
Senior health products (15 on the A&H exam), individual medical expense (14), general insurance concepts and contract law, and the individual life contract (10 on the Life exam).
